Boca Ciega Millennium Park
12410 74th Avenue North
Seminole, FL

Boca Ciega Millennium Park is 186 acres of quiet beauty not far from US-19 and Park Boulevard in Seminole.

The 35’ observation tower offers panoramic views of Boca Ciega Bay and is a good place to start our visit. The 1/4 Mile boardwalk begins and ends here. AllTrails (See link below.) rates it an easy, kid and wheelchair friendly loop, doable in about 14 minutes.

The Park offers seven reservable picnic shelters with grills. Note there is a short nature trail loop near picnic shelter #5.

There are four restrooms spread about the Park. The kids will love the nice play area and not to be left out, find a 1-1/2 acre enclosed area for Spot and Rover to romp and investigate. There are canoe and kayak launch areas and fishing access.

Five ponds were added to treat stormwater water runoff and hydrate the wetland areas before the runoff reaches Boca Ciega Bay. They fit nicely and with the benches here and there add much to the scenery in the Park.

According to reviews we have seen, Sunset Island, just offshore, is an easy walk at low tide from the Park or by kayak at high tide. (No, we did not attempt it.)

Other highlights of this park include pine flatwoods, coastal oaks, hammock, a mangrove swamp, a salt marsh, bay head and wetlands.

The Park is accessible to and from The Pinellas Trail at 74th Avenue N. via sidewalks.
